 I need help installing my MT4 and my expert advisor

Note that you are not using a web browser, but the remote desktop client in your computer.

Once on the desktop, you will notice MT4 is right there for you (if you selected to install MT4 during signup). Many brokers use their own custom version of MT4, and in that case you can open the virtual desktop web browser to visit your broker, download and install MT4.

If you open the windows file explorer on the virtual desktop, you will notice that your local C disk is mapped to the virtual desktop session. Simply navigate to your C drive (from the virtual desktop), and find the metatrader/experts folder. copy the entire folder to the MT4/experts folder on the virtual desktop and you are ready to go!

Here are the two things to remember:

if your broker uses a special version of MT4, then you should use the web browser on the desktop to visit the broker, download and install it....

when you are done and ready to leave the computer, do not log off...instead, disconnect to keep your programs running. to disconnect, roll the mouse to the top of the screen and click the X in the yellow bar.

when you logon again, you will rejoin your running session. You can also log back on from a different machine or even your windows mobile cell phone using the built in terminal service client.
