How do I run VTTrader in a Trader's Desktop?
Solution
Q: How do I run VTTrader? I keep getting the error "Exception AccessViolation in module VTTrader.exe..."
A: In order to run VTTrader, it is first necessary to disable DEP. Data Execution Prevention (DEP) is a set of hardware and software technologies that perform additional checks on memory to help prevent malicious code from running on a system.
To disable DEP for VTTrader, please follow these steps from your Virtual Desktop:
Start->Control Panel->System
Advanced Tab
Click 'settings' in the Performance area (the top button)
Data Execution Prevention Tab
Select the radio button 'Turn on DEP for all programs and services, except those I select'
Click Add
Navigate to the VTTrader.exe, which is probably located in C:\Program Files\VT Trader
Click Ok->ok
VTTrader will now operate. Please test and open a support ticket if you require additional assistance.
NOTE: The latest release of VTTrader can be downloaded from this page:
