Unable to connect to VM after windows update
Solution
We are investigating an issue experienced by an unusually high number of Windows 2003 VM subscribers reporting that after installing the latest windows updates and rebooting they are unable to connect to the VM by RDP in order to login.
This issue appears to be related to changes made to a terminal services DLL. It is only affecting remote access. If you have applications configured to start on boot, they are unlikely to be affected.
If you are experiencing the issue, please open a ticket and let us know. A fix just takes a few minutes.
UPDATE:
We have deployed a patch to all Windows VM's that will prevent the issue from occurring. However, any VM's that may have had updates applied and have not yet been logged into may already be affected. If you are unable to login, please open a ticket and we will assist.
