CNS opens new London datacenter:

We are pleased to announce the opening of our newest datacenter, UK2.  UK2 is located inside the C4L section of Park Royal Equinix in London.  The new datacenter has been setup to offer even lower latency to London area brokers by leveraging C4L's industry leading multiple 10 Gigabit UK network. The C4L network is directly connected to all major datacenters in the London area.  Over the next several weeks we will continue to add new routes to more distant locations in Europe in order to reduce latency as much as possible.  Some of the improvements in latency include:

The new datacenter at Park Royal Equinix will replace our Telecity London datacenter, which is scheduled to close in August 2012.  We will begin a slow migration away from Telecity London (UK1) in the later part of Q2 2012.  You can review more information about our new UK2 datacenter here.

 New bundling brokers:

We are pleased to welcome Divisa Capital to our growing list of brokers sponsoring a CNS VPS for their traders.  The CNS VPS Bundling program allows brokers to include a free or discounted CNS Trader’s VPS with their customer accounts by sponsoring all or part of the CNS subscription fee that is invoiced to the trader by CNS. Bogie-MA_Gap-2 EA review:

We announced the release of the new Bogie Enterprises EA back in October.  We thought it would be interesting to take a look and see how it has performed since the release date.

Bogie-MA_Gap-2cns EA Description:

A "Stealth" Expert Advisor (EA) that controls Market Stops (TakeProfit/StopLoss) within the EA code. The EA uses oscillatory price moves on these Japanese symbols (EURJPY – GBPJPY – USDJPY) to enter and exit trade positions on a Martingale (DoubleDown) trading strategy.

The major concern of Martingale trading is being caught in full number of trades and price continues in s sustain trend resulting in a Margin Call. This is not frequent, but can happen. The EA’s Money Management has been structured to monitor this type of Margin Call.

To get the new Bogie-MA Gap2 EA, login to your CNS Control panel from your VPS and click ‘Get Software’ at the top. This will take you to the Bogie control panel where you can click ‘add new service’ to subscribe to the EA or ‘submit ticket’ to obtain support with the EA.

If you have not yet connected to the publisher then you will be prompted to connect in order to subscribe. By connecting with an authorized software publisher, you are requesting CNS to submit your personally identifiable information to the publisher in order to establish a subscriber account with them. The information submitted is limited to your name, address, telephone number and email address. It does not include any billing information, subscription information or access to your CNS services. This will allow you to login to their subscriber portal and order trials, paid services or request support with their products. It will also allow you to more easily navigate between subscriber areas. SaaS software publishers are independent companies utilizing our SaaS for Software Publishers service.

Autoboot updates:

Autoboot 3.0.21 is now available. The improvements in 3.0.21 have been significant since 3.0.17 was released. A list of updates since 3.0.17 is included below.  To upgrade your Autoboot, please download/install it from your CNS VPS.
Autoboot v3 features as of 3.0.21:
  • Use alerts to restart the application, the VPS/PC, or email you a message.
  • Global restart: Autoboot will restart all configured applications after a VM reboot
  • Resource alerts option: Trigger an alert if the VM runs low of RAM
  • House cleaning option: delete MT4 logs daily
  • API now available
Application Management - Autoboot will trigger an alert if:
  • CPU (used by the app) exceeds a preset amount
  • RAM (used by the app) exceeds a preset amount
  • application hang or crash
  • key words in MT4 or EA log files are found (it monitors both logs and you can pick the words to trigger an alert, such as 'trade context busy')

Changes in Autoboot 3.0.20:

* Introduced Autoboot API: AutoBootCtrl.exe which allows to control Autoboot service from command line.
Currently supported commands: --list, --start, --stop. Please see Autoboot documentation for full details.

Changes in Autoboot 3.0.19:

* Option to delete log files is moved from global settings to settings per application.
* Added option to delete log files only when low disk space detected.
* Added event in global Autoboot settings to trigger when free disk space is below selected value.
* Fixed bug in installer resulting in speed improvement for new installs and upgrades

Changes in Autoboot 3.0.18:

* Fixed bug where sometimes settings made to an application is not saved.
* Several internal fixes of settings (cpu and memory events).
* Added CPU indicator for each app, showing percent of current CPU usage of selected application as Autoboot sees it. This will be helpful to precisely set CPU event for each application. Also added indicator showing CPU percents settings per CPU alongside existing settings of percents per core.
* Added the message "Information about CPU usage statistics" in settings.
* Fixed bug when user disables an application and it unexpectedly switched back to enabled.

Autoboot is free for all CNS VPS subscribers for use in a CNS VPS. To upgrade, close Autoboot (if it is open) and run the installer from your CNS VPS. [Download Autoboot documentation]

Autoboot is also now available by subscription for use in PC’s and VPS’s not hosted by CNS. The subscription fee is US$5/month or US$36/year. A free first month is available by using the coupon code AUTOBOOTTRIAL at checkout.

A sneak peek forward to 2012:

We are already working to add more value to your CNS subscription in 2012.  Just some what we have underway include:

We have recently started development of a two-factor authentication smart phone application.  The new smart phone application will remove the need to wait for a random SMS code to arrive at your phone.  Instead, the code will be generated on your smart phone and can be keyed in without delay.  The new 2FA platform will also extend strong authentication to our control panel.  We understand how important it is to keep your CNS VPS secure and CNS is already the only provider including two-factor authentication with all Windows CNS VPS subscriptions.

We are also working to create better backup options that include the ability to backup your PC or Mac in the designated backup space.

Autoboot continues in active development, with new features being added as requested by our subscribers.  Please do not hesitate to send us your ideas how we can make Autoboot work better for you.

An improved CNS Support portal will also be released in 2012.  The new portal adds the ability to share a remote support session with a CNS technician, even from your own PC or Mac.

In our NYC datacenter, we are working to attract more brokers through a new service that will offer guaranteed low latency to financial exchanges and related services in the New York City area.  With our datacenter in the heart of the NYC financial district, we are uniquely positioned to offer the service and will leverage our large base of retail traders to sweeten the offering.  This will ultimately result in even lower latency for our Trader's VPS subscribers in NYC.

Our streaming media services will also enjoy a new upgrade.  The new streaming media portal will support more streaming formats and reflect how many viewers are watching your stream in real-time, and map their geographic region.  The new platform also supports geo-targeted content and advertising.

A new location for the next CNS datacenter is being explored.  The next CNS datacenter will help us provide low latency solutions to more world-wide destinations.  Do you have a preference where it should be?  Please let us know as we are considering all options.

More software publishers have joined our software publishers program, and new EA titles will be added soon.  We expect the next EA to be released will be from Eole Trading.  Eole Trading has released a long list of successful EAs over the years.  They were also the first EA publisher to recognize the power of low latency by offering their EAs to CNS VPS subscribers back in 2009.

We will be unveiling a new CNS website in Q1 2012.
