Each Traders Desktop is a virtual environment with a finite amount of resources. We have seen the standard Traders Desktop run as many as 10 MT4 instances, each with their own EA. Others can only run one or two. The reason is behind the individual EA's. Each EA is it's own running program. Depending on the nature of individual EA's, some will require more RAM and/or CPU than others. Generally, running EA's and multiple instances of MT4 is not a problem. In cases where an EA requires more RAM then the subscriber can add what is necessary in the CP. This saves the subscriber the cost of purchasing an entire dedicated server to only add a few MB of RAM. RAM can be added in increments of 128MB. Usually 128MB is enough (+$US2.56/month), but this should be verified against the requirements of the respective EA. Keep in mind that the first sign of low resources is problems reconnecting to the desktop. | |
