As with most all other desktop applications, MetaTrader can not use a second IP address. Even if your VE were to have multiple IP addresses, MT4 would continue to utilize the primary IP address. Therefore, multiple IP addresses serve no benefit to the trader. Multiple IP's are not available in our virtual desktops. Multiple IP addresses are designed for servers, usually web servers, where different IP addresses may be needed in specific circumstances to host multiple web sites. It is not recommended to trade from any VPS that offers multiple IP addresses. These VPS's are setup as servers and may not be as secure to trade from. Our desktops are configured with these unnecessary services disabled. These same services are commonly used as attack vectors into servers by worms, viruses and hackers. If a VPS offers multiple IP addresses then it is probably not setup with a trader (or any desktop user) in mind. The only way to use MT4 with a second IP address is to setup a second virtual desktop. | |
